I’ve tried Merderma and it works if you can commit to putting it on 3-4 times a day everyday for three-eight months.
It worked ok for me. But I switched to using bio-oil. Its really amazing. It’s a lightweight oil, it’s pure and natural so it cannot harm your skin. Its absorbs quickly and you will notice dresults in about a month or two, jsut give ti time.
i got this product at walgreens for $11, also if you can afford it. Try lancome’s Microdermabrasion Kit, I’ve heard great reviews and it works on clearing skin and acne scars
I’m planning on buying this product and if it’s a success for me, i’ll tell you! Hope i helped!

Reply:See an esthetician. It’s cheaper than going to a physician and we can do quite a bit.
Do a little research and see which estheticians (facialists) in your area specialize in treating acne. Be sure to check dermatology clinics and offices as they often utilize the services of a licensed esthetician. If you’re not currently taking Accutane or Differen or are on topical Retinoids, a series of chemical peels, microdermabrasion or a combination of both can do wonders for helping acne scars diminish. It does take a little bit of time and commitment and $$ but it CAN do wonders to help smooth the surface of the skin. If the scarring is deeper than he/she can treat or, when no more results are to be seen, you may be referred to a dermatologist, medical spa or cosmetic surgeon for a medical peel or dermabrasion or a deep TCA or phenol peel. These last two options are extreme choices that only you and your physician can make. They are usually performed under general anesthesia and take a while to recover from. In the case of a phenol peel you WILL have much of the scarring reduce, however, there’s a good likelihood that you will no longer have any protection from the sun so wide brimmed hats and heavy duty sunscreens would be a must.
The absolute cheapest (but slower way) would be to use a salicylic or glycolic cleanser (Jan Marini makes a glycolic cleanser), use Oil of Olay’s Microdermabrasion and a benzoyl peroxide treatment and sunscreen. This is the absolute bare minimum and, while you will see results with this they will be slower and far less than you’d see with an esthetician or physician. But I know time and money often present roadblocks for some patients.
Anyway, just wanted to give you a few options. Try your local esthetician. Hope you found this helpful.
